Local Area Information

Klismata is a small village with a population of about 68 people. The Village of Spartia and Korianna are close by. The local area offers some fabulous scenery and amenities and whilst the use of a car is preferable to explore the wider island there are plenty of nearby attractions.

Kleismata village, "Bizantio" restaurant/pizzeria 5-10 mins on foot

Spartia village has a few restaurants and Spartia beach restaurants both 5 minutes by car

"Taverna Elaieon" restaurant is 5 minutes in car on the Korianna/Kleismata/Spartia road

Travliata village, "Ygro tou Castro" grill/souvlaki eat in or take away 7-10 minutes by car

Peratata village, "Stathmos" fast food, eat in or take away, 10 minutes by car

St George's Castle above Travliata is "il Borgo" restaurant and a few others

Lakithra village various restaurants including "Mescalero" Mexican cafe/bar 5-10 minutes by car.

Metaxata next to Lakithra has a few cafes too.

The beaches:-

Paliolinos beach is located in Klismata Village and although it is a good walk to get to the rocky coast offers numerous possibilities with plenty of small private beaches to explore.

Agios Thomas beach is located in the village of Karavados. a beach preferred by many due to it’s crystal clear waters ideally suited for snorkelling and diving. Above the beach are numerous Tavernas offering local produce and seafood.

Klimatsias is a quiet beach in Spartia Village offering a marina, good swimming and great opportunities for Snorkelling, Diving and fishing.
